In the series of Spoken English sessions at SVKM Hostels. We had another session at Boy's hostel, SVKM at sector 23, on the 21st September 2025. We began with cheerful revision — familiar voices confidently introducing themselves and jumping into “Simon Says” with smiles and laughter.

The excitement grew as we moved into the day’s main theme: “What’s in my bag?” Eyes sparkled with curiosity as they reached in to guess the objects, name them, and talk about their use — a playful yet powerful way to explore nouns.

A group crossword puzzle pushed them to think creatively and work as a team. New words were discovered, and the joy of solving the puzzles together kept the energy high.

To build on their vocabulary, they then wrote sentences for five different categories — a task they tackled thoughtfully and with surprising confidence. The session was wrapped up with a small challenge for home: forming five more sentences using those same word categories — a step to keep the learning alive until next Sunday.
