Placement Training Programme 2026: From Preparation to Practice
Knowledge may open the door to the professional world, but confidence, communication, professional presence, and interview readiness help students walk through it.
The Communication Skills and iSEP Cell, Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya (KSV) organised a two-day Placement Training Programme on 17–18 September 2026 for the students of M.Sc. Microbiology Semester III of Shri Maneklal M. Patel Institute of Sciences & Research, Gandhinagar. The programme focused on strengthening career readiness through expert guidance, hands-on activities, and practical interview experience.
The first day focused on preparation, covering interview strategies, resume writing, personality grooming, and corporate etiquette. Dr. Vijay Makwana, Assistant Professor, Humanities and Social Sciences, CHARUSAT University, conducted “Mastering the Interview: Strategies for Success.” Dr. Kaushik Trivedi, Head, Humanities and Social Sciences, CHARUSAT University, presented “Crafting a Winning Resume,” where students drafted and reviewed their resumes using laptops and computer-lab facilities. Dr. Kinjal Bhatia, Assistant Professor, Humanities and Social Sciences, CHARUSAT University, talked about“Personality Grooming & Corporate Etiquette,” highlighting professional presentation, workplace behaviour, and effective communication.
The second day moved from preparation to practice through Mock Personal Interviews. Students participated in simulated interviews guided by Dr. Kaushik Trivedi, Dr. Kinjal Bhatia, and domain-specific faculty- members from the institute. The activity enabled students to practise presentation of their academic and professional interests with greater confidence.
The programme followed an experiential, practice-oriented approach, combining demonstrations, resume drafting and review, role-play, and mock interviews. It reinforced a key lesson: professional readiness is not only about what students know, but also about how confidently and effectively they communicate what they know.
