Program Overview

Students will enter the US with a J-1 visa to take one university course of 3 credits (DS312) in 15 sessions at the University campus. After successful completion of the program, participants will be eligible to receive an official SF State University Certificate and transcript. Can aslo transfer the credits back home or to other universities around the world. Students will spend their stay immersed in the culture of one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the world. Enjoy everything San Francisco and the Bay Area have to offer, through Hop-on Hop- Off Bus Tours field trips, social activities, and visits to famous neighborhoods, museums, the birthplace of Silicon Valley, and more

Program Objective & Admission

Customized Summer Program in San Francisco (with credits) has been designed at the request of US Work Study Pvt. Ltd. for the Global Empowerment of Indian University Students, which is DiR's official partner for the said program. The tentative Schedule is given below (the actual schedule/programming will be amended as needed by SFSU). Prof. Sunil Garg, President of US Work Study Pvt. Ltd. (USWS) has been authorized to promote, register and facilitate admissions, submitting of visa (J-1) applications, appointments, and counseling for interviews by the US Embassy, flight tickets, monitor of schedule dates in India and arrival in San Francisco on 6th July 202

DS 312 Data Analysis with Computer Applications (Units: 3)

(Prerequisite: Business Statistics I or MATH 124 Elementary Statistics, English Language Proficiency equivalence to IELTS 6.5)
Course Highlight: Interpretation and presentation of data with business applications using statistical software packages. Multiple regression, sampling techniques, design and analysis of surveys, analysis of variance, experimental design, and contingency tables

Program Fees

Academic Program fee:

$1,850 (including course instruction and in-program activities)

Double/triple occupancy housing fee plus two meals/day on campus:
around $2,100 (If SF State does not provide a summer meals plan for students, we will charge $ 1,500 for housing fee)
The total fee students will pay to SF State:
$3,950 (including program fee, housing fee, and two meals per day during program dates) or $3,350 (including program fee, housing fee)

    • Campus housing, One three-credit SF State course instruction, Welcome orientation, Bay Cruise activities, San Francisco City Municipal public transportation pass, and Silicon Valley study trips.  i-Learn class shell for asynchronous learning. Presentations, session recordings, and additional resources.
    • Certificate of Completion with SF State official transcript for DS 312 Data Analysis with Computer Applications (Units: 3, Sessions: 15)

Program Fee Break-up

      • US Visa Processing and Appointment fee to US Embassy: US$ 160 (₹ 13,600)
      • US Embassy J-1 SEVIS fee to US Embassy: US$ 220 (₹ 18,700)
      • Registration, Visa filing, and Counseling fees to be paid to "Study in USA": ₹ 10,000
      • Program fee payable to SF State University: US$ 3,950 (₹ 3,35,750) - payable after Visa approval
      • Delhi to SFO round trip Flight Ticket: ₹ 1,20,000 (expected)
      • Ahmedabad to Delhi round trip Flight Ticket: ₹ 7,000 (expected)
      • Travel Insurance: ₹ 5,000
        Conversion of US$ is calculated @ rate of ₹ 85 for 1 US$)

 

Program Payment Schedule

    • Selected students have to deposit a cheque of ₹ 50,000 in favour of the "Department of International Relations by SVKM" as a part of the registration amount that shall cover visa filing and interviews. And NO REFUND is possible out of this.
    • The course fee of US$ 3,950 is payable in May - June 2023 after granting of a J-1 visa and no refund would be possible once paid. The visa may be valid for around 60 days for a 25 days program.

FAQs:

Order of Preference for selection of participants is: B.Tech. 3rd year, MCA/MBA 1st year, BCA/BBA 2nd or 3rd year. Students can be from any branch or discipline with proficiency in English and computer operations.
Students with English language proficiency of IELTS 6.5 have better chances to qualify for a visa interview. 'Department of International Relations by SVKM' shall help the selected students.
All visa applications will be filed by us with utmost care against the individual J-1 visa invitations to students. Visa application will be submitted within a week of receipt of DS-2019 with payment of US$ 160 for interview date. J-1 SEVIS fee of US$ 220 will be paid after receipt of interview date. We have no control over the US Embassy. The US Embassy normally opens the date around 60 days before the joining date (i.e. in May for July joining). Students have to take the risk of US$ 160 with the hope for an interview date before the joining date of 6 July 2023.
After getting visa interview dates, the 'Department of International Relations by SVKM' and 'US Work Study Pvt. Ltd. India' will help and train each student online. Rejections for J-1 visas are minimum and we expect over 90% success rate after training of students. "US Work Study Pvt. Ltd. India"'s success rate for F-1 visas has been 100% in the last 3 years. We don't want students to go for any other consultant.
Please chech the "PROGRAM FEE BREAK-UP" and "PAYMENT SCHEDULE" section. After grant of J-1 visa and no refund would be possible once paid. NOTE: All US$ conversion rate is as per the date of payment. The INR amount is approximate for reference only.
All the interested students must contact the respective college principals and your application has to come through respected principal only. After short-listing the students DiR shall contact your respective principals and shall ask you to present yourself along with all the required documents.
