The Department of Communication Skills and the iSEP Cell, KSV conducted a three-day pre-placement training program on Digital Resume and Interview skills for the final-semester B.Com students at Ashvinbhai A Patel Commerce College, Sector 23, Gandhinagar, from February 18th to 20th, 2026.
The sessions focused on preparing a resume tailored to job descriptions and understanding a resume’s various formats and components for job interviews. Digitalization of the resume was laid emphasis on, and a detailed understanding of the same was extended through practical exposure to the task. A significant emphasis on grooming and body language was also integral to the sessions. On the last day, mock interviews were conducted by the panel consisting of an industrial expert and the workshop trainer to evaluate the learning, which helped gain hands-on experience for the interviews.
Interactive activities and expert guidance helped nearly 70 student participants gain valuable insights into effective communication and workplace codes of conduct, preparing them for successful job interviews. The training was well-received and enhanced the students’ confidence in their placement journey.

On the morning of the 12th of January 2026, the students of the constituent colleges of Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya had an opportunity to interact with Mr. Christopher Turillo, Co-Founder, Medha, a non-profit organization based in India that has helped over 200,000 youth start rewarding careers of their choice. He was accompanied by Dr. Chittaranjan bhai Patel, a distinguished medical professional based in Chicago, Illinois, who has been the much honored and applauded guest of the university for a long time. Mr. Turillo interacted with the students about his own journey of working with the youth, as a professional and as a mentor. He narrated at length how the career of one’s choice is based on certain personal qualities as an individual as well, in addition to the formal accomplishments for the same. He asked questions about the future aspirations of the students and opened up the quite enriching discussion on what are the challenges that the students might be facing in this, and their probable solutions. In a very friendly yet gently guiding tone he answered all the questions asked by students regarding how to choose the right career. Dr. Jay Patel, who too accompanied the duo, shared his thoughts and vision of the future careers and their pre-requisites. He expressed his wish to interact with the students through some more sessions in the times to come. The program was coordinated by the Department of International Relations, SVKM. Dr. Hiren Patel, Principal- Vidush Somany Institute of Technology and Research, KSV and Dr. Bhavin Pandya- Dean, faculty of Management, KSV remained present and accompanied the guests throughout the session. The never-ending questions from the side of the students and the elaborate answers by Mr. Christopher Turillo marked the session as a highly fruitful and enriching experience for all.

The Impact Series 2026 session on “How to Choose the Right Career Path in 2026” Was jointly organized by Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya and Ahmedabad Management Association on January 8th, 2026 at Brahmani Krupa Hall, KSV campus, Sector 23, Gandhinagar. The session featured two speakers: Dr. Shashikant Bhagat The COO of VEGH Group and President of the Public Relations Council of India, former Head of Journalism and Liberal Arts at Swarnim University, opened the discussion referring to the larger vision of interdisciplinary approach to Education and the role of New Education Policy in implementing that. He talked about future careers in terms of this vision. Dr. Mayur Joshi With nearly 30 years of dedicated service to society as a visionary for the upliftment of the deprived ones, Dr. Mayur Joshi, the Managing Trustee and Founder of Udgam Charitable Trust, discussed the career options with his unique philanthropic point of view connecting it with the modern day. The session proved to be highly interactive with the presence of academicians as well as students along with the other participants. The welcome address and vote of thanks were presented by Ahmedabad Management Association, and all the arrangements were looked after by KSV.
