Department of Communication Skills Conducts Multi-Campus Pre-Placement Workshops for Career Readiness

Comprehensive pre-placement workshops for Career readiness were organized by the Department of Communication Skills and iSEP Cell, Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya at three of the constituent colleges, Shri Maneklal M. Patel Institute of Sciences and Research and SVKM Institute of Computer Studies, Gandhinagar for the final year students of Bachelor of Computer Science, Masters of Computer Science and Bachelor of Computer Application, and at S.K. Patel Institute of Management and Computer Studies (MCA), Gandhinagar for the final year students of Masters of Computer Science from 28th to 31st July 2026.

The workshops were designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry standards.

They featured structured training in technical concepts, aptitude building, professional branding, and effective corporate communication.

The workshops were Concluded with an intensive mock placement drive to evaluate student readiness and build interview confidence.

An International Student Academic and Leadership Training Program-UK at KSV, SVKM Campus Kadi, India in Collaboration with Futura Group, UK commenced with the arrival of British Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Steve Hickling at the KSV campus. The day began with a tree plantation ceremony, symbolising environmental responsibility and the enduring bond between the two nations. Following the plantation, Mr. Steve Hickling visited VSITR, where he was accorded a traditional welcome with flowers and the ringing of bells, reflecting India's rich tradition of hospitality. The delegation also witnessed a vibrant Garba performance presented by both the UK and Indian students, celebrating the spirit of cultural exchange. This was followed by an engaging interactive session and an Open Mic with Mr. Steve Hickling, providing the delegates with an opportunity to share their experiences, exchange ideas, and reflect on their journey throughout the programme. Following lunch, the delegates participated in a variety of recreational activities and friendly sports, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and lasting friendships. The day concluded with dinner at the KSV campus, marking another memorable day of meaningful interactions, cultural appreciation, and international exchange.

Department of Communication Skills, iFDP and iSEP cell, KSV conducted sessions during the Bridge courses organized for the new students of semester- 1 at B P College of Business Administration and Ashvinbhai A Patel Commerce College Gandhinagar, providing an overview of the language and communication skills courses that the university offers for the semester, and throughout their undergraduate program.

Industry Experts and Faculty Conduct Mock Interviews to Prepare MCA Students for Placements

The final day of the Pre-Preplacement workshop for the students of Master of Computer Applications, LDRP-ITR on the 4th July 2026, was dedicated to the Mock Interview sessions with the panels formed by the Departmental faculty members, Industrial Experts and the Faculty members of CS Department, Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya.

The expert trainer, Ms. Dhvani Pandya, along with the other panel members, conducted the mock interview for all the participants, providing tailored feedback and guidance to each student to instill confidence for the real life interview situations. The students were provided an exposure to practice the knowledge they gained during the previous two days of the workshop. The constructive inputs extended during the sessions reflected well in their performance during the mock interview, which motivated them to a great extent.

The day remained highly fruitful for the students, equipping them for the smooth beginning of their worklife, which is the immediate milestone in their career journey.

The Department of International Relations (DIR), SVKM and KSV successfully organized an Essential Safety & Emergency Preparedness Session on 04 July 2026 at the SVKM Campus, Kadi.

The programme featured Fire Safety & Emergency Response Training by Mr. R. M. Sheikh, covering fire prevention, extinguisher usage, evacuation procedures, and a live fire drill. Additionally, the participants attended a First Aid & Basic Life Support Training conducted by Ms. Patel Jeel under the guidance of Dr. Hemali Prajapati, where they learned CPR, choking management, rescue breathing, and other essential first aid techniques through practical demonstrations. The session equipped participants with valuable life-saving skills while promoting preparedness, responsibility, and community safety.

The inaugural day featured an engaging and insightful session led by Ms. Dhvani Pandya, who delivered comprehensive guidance on modern career readiness, focusing on strategic resume crafting, optimization for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), emerging recruitment trends, and the professional value of skill certifications. Furthermore, she demystified the interview process, equipping students with actionable techniques to navigate various interview stages and structural formats with confidence.

Emphasizing an interactive and practical approach, the day's proceedings were driven by problem-based learning and multi-level brainstorming sessions. Students were actively engaged in the vibrant environment of critical thinking and peer learning.

DIR Organizes Overseas Education Seminars across KSV Institutions (1st July – 10th July 2026)

From 1st July to 10th July 2026, the Department of International Relations (DIR), SVKM successfully organized a series of Overseas Education Seminars across various KSV institutions, including Bholabhai Patel college of computer studies, LDRP Institute of Technology and Research, Ashvinbhai A. Patel Commerce College, Vidush Somany Institute of Technology & Research, Gandhinagar, and Vidush Somany Institute of Technology & Research, Kadi.

The seminars were conducted in collaboration with G7 Edu Global for BCA, B.E. BCom and BE CS IT students. The sessions provided valuable insights into higher education opportunities abroad, covering key topics such as international university admissions, scholarships, visa guidance, study destinations, career prospects, and employment opportunities in global markets.

The primary objective of these seminars was to create awareness about overseas education pathways and equip students with the knowledge and confidence to pursue higher studies and international careers. Kadi Sarva Vishwavidhyalaya - Sarva Vidhyalaya Kelvani Mandal (KSV), in association with Life Chiropractic College West USA, successfully organized a Chiropractic Service Camp at the BSF Gujarat Frontier Headquarters and the SP Office, Gandhinagar. The camp was conducted by a team of 13 chiropractic interns under the guidance of licensed chiropractic doctors, Dr. Parth Trivedi and Dr.Vaittianadane. The initiative aimed to provide chiropractic assessments and care services to personnel, while also creating awareness about the benefits of chiropractic healthcare in promoting musculoskeletal health and overall well-being. This marked the first-ever chiropractic service camp conducted at both locations, representing a significant milestone in introducing chiropractic care to uniformed personnel in Gujarat. The program reflects KSV’s commitment to community service, interdisciplinary healthcare education, and the advancement of chiropractic awareness in India.
